[A few minutes later, Emma is in the garden with Lucky's leash in hand, giving it a gentle tug to keep him from going after a nearby patch of violets. She's not sure there's anyone who actually comes out and cares for the gardens personally, but still -- probably a better idea not to let dogs run through the Queen's precious flowers.
She takes a seat, letting Lucky run himself in a circle around the bench as they wait.]
[ it's only a few minutes later that mary margaret comes walking out from the bushes, having taken a slightly longer route to get there for the sake of clearing her head. she had thought - perhaps a little naively - that once she got her memories back she would be better off. that everything would make sense.
that obviously wasn't the case, as she had started to learn more and more as the days went on. it seems that the longer she's in wonderland, the more she misses at home, and she's not quite sure how she feels about that.
mary margaret puts up a smile, though, when lucky comes bounding up to her, leaning down to pet his head for a bit before straightening, smiling at emma. ] I hope you weren't waiting long.
[Memories were confusing things, especially when you had two sets of them. For a long time, Emma had only been able to imagine what it was like -- but now she knew firsthand. She'd had that year in New York with Henry and Walsh, and even if the memories leading up to that life were fake, that year had been very real.
It made things difficult when she'd been brought back to reality.
Emma smiles wearily when Mary Margaret approaches, letting Lucky run off to greet her -- he always came back. As dogs went, he was incredibly well-behaved, except for sandwich thieving.]
Just a few minutes. Besides, I had company. [A beat.] Is this a sit-down kind of talk?
[The way it has been presented sounded like it might be.]
