Emma? Hi. It's Allison and- actually, you don't know me. But we know each other in the future. Or, I mean, the who you was just here from the future told me we knew each other.
[ a beat, and then allison realizes just how much she screwed all that up and she sighs. ]
Sorry. I'm just saying that if you have any questions about what happened, I can help out a little. If you need it.
[ suddenly allison's not totally convinced this was a good idea. she disconnects right after that, without saying goodbye, and then immediately regrets it. ugh. ]
[ yeah! being drunk totally means it's cool to call someone she's only spoken to twice, right? caroline knows, on some level, that emma swan knows she's a vampire. or some part of her is, anyway. but caroline's a little lost at finding lena gone from wonderland, and has taken residence up at the bar. she scrolls through her communicator and sees elena for emma's name. she decides to sing eternal flame, even though it had originally been the song she sang to matt. ]
Close your eyes, give me your hand, darlin' Do you feel my heart beating? Do you understand? Do you feel the same? Am I only dreaming? Is this burning an eternal flame?
[ and she'll conveniently hang up when the kissing bit in the video happens. oops. ]
[ He hasn't slept well, admittedly, since the past week has been quite awful, and so to spare Emma from what he can't imagine is a pleasant sight, he foregoes the video function. ]
Emma. I do hope you're well. I wanted to speak with you about the recent event. I was...looking after Henry during this madness, and in the midst of that, he took ill. Quite ill, in fact. I...wasn't entirely sure I'd see him through it.
[ So, yeah, Henry is fine now, but Robin's just the type to still feel guilty about it, even if it's something beyond his control. ]
[During the whole chaos with the sword and the mirrors, Neal's focus had been on Henry. That's where it had to be, with Emma and Regina not only missing, but replaced by a hell of a pair of doppelgangers. But now that it's all over, he's had time to go back through some things that bugged him. Most people probably wouldn't think anything of the conversation Emma had with Hook in the magic notebook--it'd been one of many, pretty brief. Neal probably shouldn't have read it like he had.
But he'd recognized the handwriting, and hadn't been able to help himself. It was what led him to not making his own reply, because Neal is very aware of the whole time and place concept. Hopefully, in the aftermath, they've hit the right time.
Emma? Did I do it right this time? [Hook sounds tired and a little vulnerable in that way he only allows himself to be when he's talking to Emma, and only Emma.] That dream everyone's talking about. Did you have it?
[ Snow can't let this day pass without her daughter receiving presents. Even if she has no idea they're from her own mother. So, on Christmas Eve, there will be a small basket of things on Emma's doorstep with a gift tag that simply says: To Emma, from Snow in her perfect script.
The gifts are as follows: too much chocolate, an awesome beanie, and because no one can have too many shoes, a pair of black boots. Then, there's a letter, because of course there is, it's Snow. ]
Dear Emma,
I know being away from home isn't the ideal situation for Christmas, but I do hope you realize there are people here very willing to be a friend when you need one.
Sometimes, things are presented to us and we simply don't know what to do with the information. It's perfectly fine to step back and breathe and try to decide for yourself what's right and what isn't. Use your heart, Emma. It will always know. I have no doubt in my own heart you're an incredible mother who's given up so much for your child to have his best chances in life. I hope, for your sake, that you get to see him sooner rather than later.
Try to have a Merry Christmas, and if you'd ever like to talk over hot cocoa (with a dash of cinnamon on top - my favorite!) I'm only a short distance away.
[ Honestly, Henry doesn't even wait to be let in after his half-knock, he just opens the door and walks past Emma. And then, he sits on the couch, falling back lengthwise before covering his face with both hands. And then?
He just groans.
It's a mix of something between frustration and desperation along with a touch of whining, but it goes on for so long without breaking for a breath of air, and when he finally does, it trails off and he just drops his hands and stares up at the ceiling.
Is it too obvious that Jacinda is obviously Cinderella and her wicked step-sister is Ivy or have we all figured that out? I met a young version of Ivy during the event when a lot of adults aged down to children. She said her name was Drizella.
