[She sighs heavily. Allison's not the only one who meets an unfortunate end, the way she hears it, and she's slowly finding herself able to put together a list of who needs to be looked out for. That core mission can't happen. It just can't. They have to stop it from coming to pass altogether, because the whole thing it just one giant risk that's waiting to backfire and blow up in their faces.]
Sounds like you had a rough week. Sorry to hear it. ... how 'there' are we talking? On the same mission, or--
Knowing this place? It could have been a lot worse.
[ and that's where they all differ from her, isn't it? dean said the same thing, that the core plan can't happen. that they need to sit back and survive and forget trying to take down the jabberwoky through the plan. but allison thinks there might still be a chance. somewhere. ]
I'm not sure. Same mission, for sure, but I don't think the same room. They had these...I guess you could call the holographs? But as memories, that were playing around the mansion. One of them was...yeah. [ does she really need to explain? or can that sort of quiet trail off do the trick? ] You weren't in that, at least.
[If Emma has it her way, they'll stop the Jabberwocky long before that core operation ever becomes an option. It was a last resort. They've been forewarned now. They don't have to go down that road, not if they do this right.]
... I heard about that.
[She's glad she missed seeing the mansion's 'ghosts' everywhere. Some of them sounded far more grim than others.]
At least that they were everywhere. And some of the specifics. Wonderland really likes to celebrate holidays with a bang.
[ the fact there were so many good memories, intermixed with the bad, almost made it worse. weddings, dances, laughter, love. it hurt more to see those and see what they became then just seeing the nightmares. ]
Not quite this way, at least not that I've seen. I've only been here since April.
[Which is longer than a good number of people, but still. This was her first Wonderland Christmas, too.]
But Halloween wasn't exactly a walk in the park, thanks to the mirrors body-jacking half the population, and from what I've heard, Christmas is usually--
[She cuts herself off, grimacing to herself as she tries to find the right word.]
[ sorry emma, were you trying to be discrete? because allison catches onto that and has to know. especially if it means preparing her friends for another one like this. ]
Halloween... do you think something like this happens every holiday?
The mansion decorates itself every year. That's about the only constant. I haven't been able to get any details, it sounds to me like the mansion pulling some large-scale event this time every year is pretty par for the course. We'd have to talk to someone who's been here a long while for more. James Potter. Philip, maybe. Sam and I pretty much pegged the both of them as the go-to sources for that kind of thing, though I don't know how approachable Philip is.
[She folds her arms, shaking her head a bit.]
I think it'd probably be safest to assume something like this does come around every holiday, at least.
I haven't met Philip, but I met James a while ago. It sounds like they've been here for a long time.
[ allison's not really liking the idea that wonderland makes its own fun with the holidays, especially judging from the way ewaymas went. but there's nothing else she can really do. ]
Great. Can't wait until Valentines Day. [ that was for you, christine. ]
[ which, okay, so she doesn't really mean to sound as young as she does when she asks that, but the idea of going home isn't high on her priority list right now. ]

You're the devil.
[God. Don't remind her.]
Might as well start bracing ourselves now. Guessing it won't be pretty.
I love youuuuu c:

At least it's a schedule, and not totally random.
